My husband’s cousin, Mary, commissioned me to do an 8″x 10″ acrylic painting of her beautiful grandchildren. I took her many pictures that she sent me and photoshopped what I liked about each one into the picture I eventually painted. I then printed out that picture and taped it to my easel as my reference. I did a quick sketch for placement first. I then painted an undercoating with one color. This gave me a feel for what the painting would look like.
When I sent Mary a picture of the underpainting, she was thrilled! “It is so beautiful! I have my granddaughter with me, and we both love it! Thanks so much for making my day brighter!”
I enjoyed working on her painting! She loves those grand-babies so much! She was going through such a difficult time when I gave her the final painting. I hoped and prayed her day would be better just looking at it! Love you, Mary!
